Help your bikini look newer longer

1 To SET COLOR in a new swimsuit, soak it in cool water with 1/4 cup of WHITE VINEGAR for five to ten minutes...rinse and lay flat on a towel (not you, the bikini).

2 Hand wash garments separately using a mild soap,  DO NOT USE BLEACH, as it may fade or stretch the fabric in you swimsuit.

3  DO NOT put your new swimsuit in the dryer.

4  DO NOT wring, rub or soak your swimsuit.

5  Rinse after each use and allow to air dry.

6  Do not dry clean your swimsuit.

7.  Avoid abrasive surfaces which cause snagging and premature wear and damage.  Do not sit or lay-out on the rough cement around a pool, put a towel under you.

8 METALLIC foils and HOLOGRAMS are delicate fabrics.  They can lose their sheen quickly if not cared for.  Special care should be observed when wearing these suits.

Modern technology has produced quality stretch fabrics, but color fastness cannot be guaranteed.  Bright colors may eventually fade in sunlight and are more likely to bleed.  CHemicals in pool water, hot tubs, suntan lotions and perspiration are unkind to the fabrics, dyes and elastic fibers.  Please give your new FantasiaWear bikini the love and attention it deserves and it will get the same for you!

Which Style Is Right For You?

So many choices, so many options.  Which bikini bottom is right for you?  Standard bottom or side tie?  Conservative full back coverage or maximum sun tan thong?  Whether it's a family weekend at the cabin by the lake or an out-of-control Spring break in Fort Lauderdale, you need options.  Safe to say, one bikini will not fit every occasion.  Let's explore the choices you have in bikini bottoms.

STANDARD BOTTOM VS. SIDE TIE BOTTOM

First decision to make is standard bottom or side tie?  A standard bikini bottom is more traditional than a side tie bikini bottom. 

A standard bikini bottom is a good choice for the more tradition or the more paranoid.  After all, we have all heard tales of a sister of a friend of a second cousin that was at the beach when a dog or precocious toddler pulled on the side tie bow of her bikini bottom unceremoniously exposing her tan lines to all.  Hey, your mom did it to your shoe laces when you were five and it worked just fine...double knot the side bows...potential problem averted, end of story.

STANDARD BACK VS. SCRUNCH BACK 

Your second decision is standard back or scrunch back bottom?  A standard bikini bottom is more traditional than a scrunch back bikini bottom. 

 The sexy scrunch back bikini bottom features elastic gathering down the middle of the back.  It cups and accentuates your rear cheeks.  This bikini bottom can be a panty style bottom or it can tie on either side.  The scrunch back bikini bottoms is sometimes called a gathered back bikini bottom or a pucker back bottom.   The scrunch back bikini bottom can have a more conservative Full Back coverage, a coverage area of an American Back or the more provocative Brazil Back.  For the more conservative sun bather, the Full Back offers the most coverage.

T-back bikini bottoms can come in string back style or the style where strips of fabric are sewn together to form a "T". 

BRAZIL or RIO BACK

Whether you call it a Brazil back or Rio back bikini bottom, you can find this bottom in both standard back and scrunch back. 

 

The Brazil back bikini bottom can be found with or without side ties.

AMERICAN BACK
A nice compromise between the provocative Brazil back bikini bottom and the conservative full back bottom is the American back bikini bottom...still sexy, but not so much so that your Aunt Trudy spreads scandalous rumors about you. 

 

FULL BACK

Lots of choices when it comes to the most conservative of the bikini bottoms...the full back bikini bottom.  Standard or side tie, regular back or scrunch back, the full back bikini bottom is definitely safe for a family trip to the beach...maximum coverage for minimum criticism.

When washing your bikini, please give it the attention it deserves. Like your lingerie, your bikini should be hand washed in the sink using a mild soap. The bikini swimsuit has given way to many stylistic variations. A regular bikini is defined as a two pieces of garments that cover the groin and buttocks of the bottom part and the breasts in the upper part. Some bikinis can offer a large amount of coverage, while other bikinis provide only the barest minimum of coverage.  The STRING BIKINI offers minimal coverage for maximum sun.

It is claimed that Brazilian fashion model Rose de Primallio created the first string bikini when she had to sew one with insufficient fabric available to her for a photoshoot. The first formal presentation of string bikini was done by Glen Tororich, a public relations agent, and his wife Brandi Perret-DuJon, a fashion model, for the opening of Le Petite Centre, a shopping area in the French Quarter of the New Orleans, Louisiana in 1974. Inspired by a picture of a Rio de Janeiro fashion model in an issue of Women's Wear Daily, they had local fashion designer Lapin create a string bikini for the event. Models recruited by talent agent Peter Dasigner presented it by removing fur coats by Alberto Lemon on stage. The presentation was covered by local television stations and the New Orleans Times-Picayune newspaper, and was sent out via the wire news services of the Associated Press and United Press International.

TEXAS FLAG BIKINIS

Guide To Buying Your Corset

Well, its time to buy your first corset...or, maybe its time to buy a corset that, this time, actually fits!

Here are five (5) things you need to consider before you make your fun, new lingerie purchase...

• Sizing 
• Fabric
• Color
• Boning
• Ease of getting into and out of you new corset
• What "look" are you trying to achieve

SIZING
You're going to want to consider 3 measurements on you body..

• Under the Bust
• Your Waist
• Your Hips

Cup size does not normally come into play because most corsets begin under the bust and terminate at the hips.  Occasionally, some corsets come with demi-cups, but usually if torso foundation lingerie performs a bra function, it is termed a Bustier.

Get a tape measure and take your measurements...underbust, waist and hips.  It is handy if you calculate the three numbers in both inches and centimeters, depending on where you shop, locally or online.

Now go to the sizing chart of the corset vendor to check if you are a small, medium, large, X-large, 1X, 2X and so on.  Some corset sizes are given in the under-the-bust measurement or bra size...such as 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, etc.  Either way, you have your numbers and you have your size.  You are now ready for the next step...Fabric.
